FBC India began it operations in October 2004 as a joint venture between the FBC Group and a group of local Indian partners with vast experience and brand equity in the Indian television and film world.
The company is headquartered in Mumbai and is a television production house that offers a unique set of capabilities in creating original formats, executing quality production and branded entertainment, with particular specialization in reality entertainment production.
FBC India’s core team is made up of professionals with great experience in television production, start-ups, channel management, advertising and media planning. Its core creative team creates and develops original formats both in fiction and non-fiction. FBC India’s competitive edge is reality entertainment formats along with its ability to deliver 360-degree cross-media solutions perfectly suited for on-ground, on-air and on-line activities. Its team has extensive working experience with all the major Indian broadcasters including the Star network, Sony, Channel Zee, Sahara and Mtv – as original content creators as well as strategic senior management at the leading channels.
FBC India also offers brand-building solutions, creating original formats or localizing successful international formats that appeal to Indian broadcasters and viewers, while providing effective visibility for the sponsor brand. The first branded-content program ever to air on a satellite channel – Star One’s Lakme Fashion House was produced by FBC India, based on an original FBC format.
In addition, FBC India has also launched a Media Services and Strategic Communications division, which specializes in designing and executing television-based communications strategies for government ministries and leading corporations, promoting their image and initiatives on a global level.
